18  Keys To Success | Franchise

Franchise – by virtue of having spent most of my business career in the franchising sector, I recognize how open communication, a non abusive open door policy and meetings between the franchisor and its franchisees and other related activities, contribute towards building and enhancing positive franchise relations. I have put this class together in the hope that some if of my experiences and, knowledge, could help other franchise companies, or companies in general, enhance and grow their operations. During this class and the various modules, I will be reviewing some key components, what I call the “enabling factors”, of every organization.  I strongly believe that it makes sense for all franchisees to have positive communication and accessibility to franchisor management. This among other factors, are my primary objectives in guiding a franchise organization towards success. Regardless of whether you are a mature or emerging franchisor, you need to have a solid foundation that franchise relations can rest on.  As in a home, if the foundation is solid, the house wont crumble. While it is important to consider industry growth before investing in a franchise, it is more important to analyze an individual franchise company’s track record, keeping in mind that quick growth does not always spell success.  A franchise organization that grows too quickly might not have a service team in place to support all of the units properly. Looking at the mechanism of a clock, we see a host of parts working together in perfect synch to produce the final result: the precise time.  Like the cogs and wheels of a clock, members of a team interlock and connect to produce the final result. Whenever any of these parts, however small, is out of synch, out of place or disconnected, the clock becomes ineffective and inefficient. When all these parts are just placed together, we have a mechanism. When all these parts can work together in perfect synch, then we have a clock. A wise woman once told me “whatever you do in life, you should strive to be the best at it”, keyword, WHATEVER … Enjoy the 10 modules which follow. Have fun going through the material.
